Chris Umstot
With years of dedicated service in the food industry, Chris has emerged as a dynamic leader, adept at navigating the fast-evolving landscape to better meet customer needs. His journey began in the kitchen, where he developed a passion for food that led him to culinary school and a successful career as a chef in the hotel industry. Chris then transitioned to owning and operating his own restaurant before entering the food brokerage business.
Expanding his expertise, Chris managed a large independent food distributor with multiple warehouses, gaining invaluable insights into the complexities of the distribution landscape. Now, as the driving force behind GS Partners, he is committed to prioritizing customer satisfaction and ensuring high quality in products and services. Under his leadership, GS Partners strives to serve the community and aims to expand its footprint across the U.S.
Outside of work, Chris is a devoted father of five who enjoys coaching and spending quality time with his family.
